Veldtchasm Reference Sheet 2014 OUTDATED

|Written Appearance|

Veldtchasm is a short furred she-cat with a few tufts on her upper legs, tail and face. She has a stocky build in her legs, with wide paws to traverse the difficult terrain of the mountains. She is rather small in body size, but there's plenty of muscle beneath. Her tail is longer than usual, useful for keeping balance and propelling speed when hunting. Her ears are short and rounded at the top. Her pelt is a mixture of browns and cream. Her main colour is a dark beige, with cream and brown dapples in certain places, stripes along her back and tail with a few pretty markings on her face. Her eyes are icy blue with dark blue pupils.

|Ambitious| She's a resilient character that works hard to impress others, but mostly to fill the void in her life. She longs to lead the clan she's come to love, to nurture it like a mother would its kit. Her work is like her children and it wasn't until later in her warrior life did she come to actually learn the advantages of friendship. Veldtchasm's best memory was when she was promoted to Deputy, as it was another step closer to achieving her dreams. Even to coming back with the biggest prey is important to her, as it all comes down to her pride. 

|Patriotic| Veldtchasm loves her clan more than anything. She may not know how to be social with the members in it, but she will forever support her leader's decisions and encourage the apprentices to be more overachieving. A clan has to have strength to survive after all and Veldtchasm wants to see it so in her deputyship. If the clan fails, she'll put it all on her shoulders. 

|Conservative| Veldtchasm isn't very conversational and prefers solitude when doing her duties. After the cliff fall, she works closer with her hunting and territory patrols, but doesn't really know how to be close. 

Her strongest skill is climbing, as she is very light in terms of weight but is stocky enough to have the muscle strength needed to haul herself up mountain ledges and trees. Her tail acts as a counterbalance whilst climbing and to grab lightly onto branches and edges.

As the aforementioned paragraph states, she has really good balance due to her tail and body proportions. She also has excellent swimming strengths, especially in currents due to her muscle strength. She is no weak cat, despite her small height and length. Finally, Veldtchasm has exceptional self discipline and will often sacrifice her food or time to help her clan, as is her duty as deputy.

Her weakest skill is speed. Her body is muscular and stocky, with short legs, so she is unable to run at fast pace due to the weight she drags behind her and the small gait of which she can walk. So chasing after prey like rabbits is difficult for her.

Any kind of social situation is a weakness, as she prefers to be isolated. Even though she is fiercely loyal to her clan, she is unable to socialize with them very well and often finds it uncomfortable. Her position as deputy requires visiting each gathering and its the time of the month she dreads, as not only is she surrounded by cats, but cats she doesn't know.

Veldtchasm's biggest phobia is the dark, but she will never admit it. She often sleeps closest to the den opening so that the moon shines on her face and she refuses to patrol at the late hours. Not only does she hate the dark, but she hates thunder and lightning storms with a passion.

[ Kithood ]

Veldtchasm had a rather uninteresting kit-hood. She was conversative even as a youngster. She preferred to sit on the sidelines whilst the other kits played in the den. Even attention from her mother wasn't wholly appreciated, unless it was an offering of milk or when older, her prey.

[ Apprenticeship ]

Her personality remained similar as when a kit. After being promoted and assinged a mentor, Veldtchasm was resilient in her learning in regards to hunting. She liked stalking the prey in the silence of the mountains and discovered a likeness to the near isolation of the mountain edges and peaks. Things she wasn't good at was picking up pace when giving chase to certain kinds of prey and conversing with clan members. It was during this time her name 'Veldt' became prominent, for she encouraged her mentor to take her out more than playing with fellow apprentices.

[ Warrior ]

Veldtchasm led a very quiet, precise life after receiving her Warrior name. She was able to fully stretch her legs and become a prominent part in her clan's life. She obeyed her leader without question, for her warrior name came with responsibility and honour, so she remained loyal to the cat that gave it to her. This made her far more distanced than the usual cat to the rest of the clan. If in charge of a particular hunting party, she would give strong directions and had a tongue that commanded authority. She wanted authority. Other than that, she did a lot of hunting and spent a lot of time on her own. She would groom, eat, hunt and sleep. It wasn't until she faced trouble on a particular hunt that taught her how important allies were. 

Veldtchasm had her eye on an in-flight bird that was rather rotund, the perfect morsel for the older members of her clan. She was chasing it as fast as her heavy legs would carry her, but she misplaced her paw. The loose stones beneath her pad gave way to her weight, sending her tumbling down the cliff-face onto a fortunate ledge a few feet down. Her hunting party had heard the terrified yowls and immediately abandoned their hunt to assist. Using branches, tails and paws, they hauled her back up the mountain. Since then, Veldtchasm has gotten to know more of her clan, deciding to keep them close for if she ever wished to lead, she'd need to know how to deal with cats and love her neighbors.

[ Deputy ] 

Alas, she finally succeeded her ambition. For her work in hunting, her precision in working and also the kindling friendship of clan members, she finally succeeded the previous deputy to work closer with her leader, with all the loyalty she could deliver. She works hard to uphold her honour in this position and doesn't sleep until late at night, to make sure every cat knows what patrol they're doing the following morn.
